Santa, Are You Reading?

I keep an electric hand mixer around for small jobs or when I just don't want to lug out the heavy Kitchen Aid.  I've been nursing mine along for a while -- one of the beaters had a broken wire.  And then today:

That peppermint filling was just too much!

Hello Santa, are you reading?

UPDATE:
My lovely daughter got me a new KitchenAid handmixer for Christmas!  Yay!

  1. Oh, oh. I'd just run out and buy myself one and ask for something that's not from the kitchen.

  2. On no. Well if Santa wants some cookies he had better be listening. You can't bake any now.

  6. I didn't expect the mixer would have turned out that way beating peppermint filling..I meant the filling is soft and creamy, right? How could that happen? I think Santa wants you to get a new mixer.

  10. How funny! I do the exact same thing. I used to keep my kitchenaid on the counter but after we remodeled the kitchen, the green appliance just didn't look good with all my brown, black, and beige. I'm thinking about getting it painted. I also pull out the hand mixer more than not.

PS...Do you want me to email this post to anyone special?

  23. Hope Santa brought you a new mixer. I have my MIL's ancient hand mixer that I use about once a year. I'm glad I have it though. It's a lovely shade of avocado green!

  24. OMG! My handy dandy hand mixer did the same thing. I believe I was making a buttercream frosting at the time. She was about 15 years old
and a real workhorse. I remember having to finish beating by hand.
Best wishes for the New Year.
