I keep an electric hand mixer around for small jobs or when I just don't want to lug out the heavy Kitchen Aid. I've been nursing mine along for a while -- one of the beaters had a broken wire. And then today:
Hello Santa, are you reading?
UPDATE:
My lovely daughter got me a new KitchenAid handmixer for Christmas! Yay!
That peppermint filling was just too much! |

Oh, oh. I'd just run out and buy myself one and ask for something that's not from the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteOn no. Well if Santa wants some cookies he had better be listening. You can't bake any now.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! Never saw anything like that!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I've never seen that happen before. I thought that those hand mixers were indestructible. Hopefully Santa is listening!
ReplyDeleteThat picture makes my mouth water but then when you look closer you realize that it is "The Treat that wasn't" - so funny!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Angie
I didn't expect the mixer would have turned out that way beating peppermint filling..I meant the filling is soft and creamy, right? How could that happen? I think Santa wants you to get a new mixer.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! I hope Santa does read your blog! As you know, I'm relying on him reading mine too!
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness.... Just in time for Christmas!!!!! Hope Santa gets your request... I'll be he will!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours.
Hugs,
Betsy
I've had that happen. Not fun when you are in the middle of mixing. I feel sure Santa is listening :)
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I do the exact same thing. I used to keep my kitchenaid on the counter but after we remodeled the kitchen, the green appliance just didn't look good with all my brown, black, and beige. I'm thinking about getting it painted. I also pull out the hand mixer more than not.
ReplyDeletePS...Do you want me to email this post to anyone special?
Oh! I hope Santa listens to you and also bring this along with other presents. Thanks for visiting me and for your sweet words :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear...I do hope he is reading your list....and checking it twice.:)
ReplyDeleteMerriest Christmas, bj
Oh no! That happened to my food processor earlier this year - so annoying! I do hope Santa is aware of this catastrophe xx
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Christmas and thank you always for all your lovely comments, love Heidi
ReplyDeleteThings like that always happen at the most inconvenient time! Hopefully, Santa will bring you a new one.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.

Uh oh, bad timing! Santa needs to stop by early so you can bake lots of cookies for him to eat.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to sneak in a hint. Hope Santa is paying attention!

ReplyDeleteHope Santa brought you a new mixer. I have my MIL's ancient hand mixer that I use about once a year. I'm glad I have it though. It's a lovely shade of avocado green!
ReplyDeleteOMG! My handy dandy hand mixer did the same thing. I believe I was making a buttercream frosting at the time. She was about 15 years old
ReplyDeleteand a real workhorse. I remember having to finish beating by hand.
Best wishes for the New Year.
