It's the middle of August, and I finally made it to our local farmer's market. Corn and zucchini from just down the road to go along with peaches our daughter picked up at another farmer's market. And that prize tomato? It's from my very own plant! Looks like there's some fresh and healthy eating in my future.

Those veggies look delicious! I can't seem to find any good zucchini around here and I love it so much. I looks like I should check out our local farmer's markets.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is stunning! - It could easily make it to "Gourmet" magazine or some other foodie publication. I think your tomato makes the picture :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to my blog & shop hop.

ReplyDeleteOh yum! I haven't been able to go to our farmer's market for about a month now due to weekend commitments. I can go this Sunday though and I'm SO looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI just made it to our farmers market last weekend for the first time this summer. This is a great time for it! Beautiful picks.
ReplyDeleteFresh peaches are my favorite part of summer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display of our Lord's sweet bounty. I can just imagine what a wonderful meal will come from all of this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Blessings, Ginger
I doubt there is anything better than fresh organic produce in the summer! Your tomato looks awesomely big and I am sure it was tasty as well!
ReplyDeleteYUM! God is so good, isn't he? That tomato is so plump and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of summers - fresh fruits and vegetables locally grown! Delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of all this produce but especially your very own tomato. I was in my greengrocers today and for a tomato like that they're charging $14/kg (about $14/2.25 pounds). Ridiculous xx
