What Happened While We Were Away or A Full House

The bat house has tilted from the weight of the birds.

We got home late last night after two weeks away.  I was so pleased to see that the robins hatched (and grew!) while we were gone.  There are four nestlings, which makes for a crowded nest and two very busy parents.  The day was quite overcast, and I wish I had a longer lens, but at least you can see the little robins in these pictures.

Lunch is served.

  1. Welcome back. These are the sweetest photos. I am smiling at the little birds!
    God bless your afternoon/evening.

  2. What a nice surprise! We've got a robin's nest under the eaves of our garage where the same robin builds it every year. It's at an odd angle, so we can hear the birds, but we can't see inside the nest. Great photos!

  3. My goodness big babies who I imagine are keeping Mum and Dad very busy finding food for them!! Lovely sight though!

    keep well

  4. Nature is so amazing. Hope you had a lovely time away.

  5. Sweet bird shots. My husband and I spotted a baby bird clinging to a tiny branch last evening. Later it was gone. But not on the ground. So apparently all is well.

  6. That is so sweet! They should fledging soon?

  7. Wow, those are some great shots. I love baby birds but I always miss them when they fly away.

  8. Such a beautiful surprise! Ain't they just SWEET!?

  9. The robins are gorgeous and I love the images. I do wish the new parents well and hope they manage to bring up their four beautiful babies without too much exhaustion xx
